Weak/Non Readers

A key feature of this software is that it can be used by people who have not yet learnt to read or find reading difficult.

Using clear layouts and colourful pictures we have managed to create a package that relies very little on the users English ability, we feel this is essential for any Sign Language resource.

People who have had hearing difficulties from birth or from a very young age will often find the English language much more difficult than hearing people do.  This difficulty often leads to difficulties with reading and writing.

Anybody who is learning to read can use this software to strengthen their developing skills.  We have designed this software so that  pictures and videos are always accompanied by text and audio.  This means that our software can be used to reinforce and encourage the learning of spelling and reading by giving a four way link between pictures, video, audio, and text.  The example sentences which accompany the signs and pictures in 'Find a Sign' can also be used as short reading exercises.
